Missouri basketball head coach Frank Haith will be leaving the Tigers to accept the head coaching vacancy at University of Tulsa, according to reports.
FOX Sports reports that Haith is expected to sign a five-year deal, but terms have not been announced yet. Haith was under contract with Missouri until the 2016-17 season, and he was making $1.6 million a year.
Haith went 76-28 with the Tigers as reported by ESPN.
He had served a five-game suspension after failing to meet compliance rules during a coaching stint at University of Miami. He was caught giving $10,000 to a Nevin Shapiro, a booster, after he threatened to tell on him for improper contact with high school recruits.
Missouri is expected to go through a rebuilding year after failing to make the NCAA tournament and losing three of its top players. Jabari Brown, Jordan Clarkson and Earnest Ross are all leaving the Tigers after leading them to an NIT trip.
