Running back Chris Johnson was recently cut by the Tennessee Titans, but he is expected to find a new home by next week. He spent six seasons with the Titans after being drafted by them 24th overall. He rushed for over 2,000 yards in 2009.
NFL reports that Johnson is drawing interest from different teams. Among these teams are the New York Jets, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins.
The Jets are considered the frontrunners to sign Johnson as reported by NBC Sports. Johnson is expected to sign for $4 million a year, and the deal is expected to be for one or two years.
Johnson was set to make $8 million in 2014, but he averaged a career-low 3.9 yards per carry in 2013. The Titans saved themselves $4 million and will carry $4 million in dead money.
Shonn Greene now leads the Titans' backfield, but they are expected to draft a running back to add depth and replace Johnson.
