Chris Brown's assault case is going forward

Attorneys for Chris Brown argued a case regarding for the recording artist this week. On Monday, it was decided that the assault case is going forward.

Brown sent a message to his ex-girlfriend this week, saying "I'm calling all my fans, letting ya'll know I love ya'll.” He thanked them for their support.

Attorneys for the recording artist requested a dismissal, but the dismissal was not granted. In the end, Judge Patricia Wynn agreed that prosecutors could use the information from the grand jury to consider the assault case. She said that there was no abuse regarding the grand jury process.

Wynn also said that Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, should have separate trial days. Hollosy’s trial will begin on April 17. Hollosy will be giving testimony during Brown’s trial. The assault case involves a fractured nose and injuries to the face and head, according to the Associated Press.

This Monday, Hollosy and Brown did not present in court. According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Brown remained in a facility in the Washington area.
