Eddie Murphy, 53
Comedian, actor, writer, singer, director, and musician Eddie Murphy turns 53 today. Murphy started his career as a comedian. From 1980-84, he was a regular on Saturday Night Live. Comedy Central ranked Murphy No. 10 on their '100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time.' His work in film makes him the fourth highest grossing actor in the United States. He received a Golden Globe nomination for his debut role in the film 48 Hrs.. Murphy also received Golden Globe nominations for his roles in Beverly Hills Cop, Trading Places, and The Nutty Professor.
In 2007, Murphy won the Golden Globe, as well as an Academy Award Nomination, for his role as James "Thunder" Early in Dreamgirls. Murphy has also done voice work for The PJs, Shrek, and Mulan. Other film roles include Coming to America, Bowfinger, I Spy, Meet Dave, Tower Heist, and A Thousand Words.
Murphy is in a symbolic union with Tracy Edmunds. He has eight kids, one with former Spice Girl Melanie Brown.
Adam Scott, 41
Film and television actor Adam Scott turns 41 today. in 1995, his first acting role was in the television series Boy Meets World, as Griff. Other notable television roles include his work in Party of Five, Six Feet Under, Eastbound & Down, Children's Hospital, and NTSF:SD:SUV.
Scott appeared in films including Monster-in-Law, The Aviator, Step Brothers, and Our Idiot Brother. Scott is married to Naomi Sablan, and have two kids.
Scott currently plays Ben Wyatt on the NBC comedy series Parks and Recreation.
Jennie Garth, 42
Actress and director Jennie Garth turns 42 today. Garth landed her first acting role on televisions Growing Pains. In 1990, she landed the role of Kelly Taylor in Beverly Hills, 90210 for all 10 seasons. She won a Young Artist Award for her role. Garth has also starred in numerous television films including Without Consent, Falling for You, and An Unfinished Affair.
Garth had minor roles in theatrical films including Telling You, My Brother's War, and Power 98. In 2002, Garth landed the role of Valerie Tyler in the television series What I Like About You. Garth appeared in Season 5 of Dancing with the Stars, making it to the semi-finals.
Garth returned as Kelly Taylor in the CW spin-off series, 90210. Garth has three kids with her former husband Peter Facinelli. She will appear in a 10-episode reality series, The Jennie Garth Project, which will follow Garth as she renovates a Hollywood Hills home for her and her three daughters. The series will premier this June on HGTV.
