Best moments from 'The Walking Dead' season 4 finale

Hit AMC show The Walking Dead, had its fourth season finale this past Sunday and left fans with quite the cliffhanger to an anxiety inducing episode.
Unfortunately viewers will now have to wait until the fall 2014 television season to find out what happens to the cast of characters. The episode leaves off where we see the group of survivors finally all back together, however they are all caught in an eerie predicament as the creepy people from Terminus have held them hostage in a cargo train cart.
Many fans after the episode ended flocked to online forums and blogs to post their predictions and theories about what happened during the episode in terms of foreshadowing and what the plot will be for season five. Many people have gone on to say that the people of Terminus are cannibals who lure in their victims with hope of survival to then entrap them and eventually eat them. This theory could in fact be true because in the comic book series, cannibals do show up in the story line at one point.
Who knows what will come next in season five of The Walking Dead, however one thing is for sure and that is that the finale was full of great moments. Here is a list of some of the best scenes from the finale.
[new page=Rick protects his son]
Throughout the season Rick, Carl and Michonne had been out on their own and during this episode the trio are once again running from zombies and have come to rest near an abandoned car on the side of the road. Rick and Michonne are talking while Carl is asleep in the car when all of a sudden the bandits that Daryl has been travelling with approach Rick. The gang has been searching for Rick for a few episodes now because earlier on in the season Rick had killed one of their members when they raided the house he was staying in with Michonne and Carl.
The bandits recognize Rick and immediately begin to torture him by pointing guns at him and threatening to sexually assault Michonne and Carl. With Rick’s main purpose in life being to protect Carl and keep him alive, his adrenaline and will to survive peak and he makes the risky move of fighting back, even when guns are pointed at him. Somehow Rick manages to fight off the bandits and with one disturbing scene of him biting the jugular off of the leader of the group, it is clear that Rick will literally do anything to keep his family alive. With some help from Michonne and with the final scene being Rick stabbing to death the last living bandit, the entire scene was probably the most intense, gory yet amazing scene of the season.
[new page=Finding Daryl]
During the intense scene with Rick and the group of bandits, Daryl comes back into the lives of Michonne, Carl and Rick. Since Daryl had been travelling with the gang, he sees them with Rick and immediately lays down his life to save Rick and the others from being tortured and killed by sacrificing himself.
Unfortunately for Daryl, the leader of the group doesn’t like Daryl turning his back on him in favor of the man he is trying to kill, calling him a “liar.” The leader then proceeds to allow his minions to beat Daryl to death for betraying his trust. However, when Rick makes the risky move of saving his family, that gives Daryl the opportunity to get away and help kill the rest of the horrible gang. Once again Daryl and Rick are reunited and Rick lovingly says to Daryl, “You’re my brother.”
[new page=Michonne’s baby]
After what happened with Rick and the bandits, Carl is a bit scared of his father and the images of what his father did by biting the jugular of the leader and stabbing the other man repeatedly to death.
Michonne can sense that Carl is struggling to deal with the images of the violence his father showed so she proceeds to reveal more about herself to him in order for him to better understand a parent’s love for their child and why he shouldn’t be afraid of his father.
Michonne talks about her baby Andre and the way he died. According to Michonne, her baby, herself, her boyfriend and her friend were all in a refugee camp and one morning she left to go on a run. When she came back the camp was in ruins and the zombie hordes had gotten in. Her boyfriend and his friend were too high off drugs during the fall of the camp to save themselves or baby Andre. Michonne tells Carl that she never forgave herself for letting her child die and became increasingly violent and isolated after the accident. Through this story Carl realizes that his dad only did what he did in order to save him and it allows Carl to see past what Rick did.
[new page=Terminus is not what it seems]
Since the beginning of the midseason premiere, each group of characters has been on their way to the same central location called Terminus which, through signs on the road, had been promising the safety, shelter and sanctuary.
Once Rick, Carl, Michonne and Daryl make it to Terminus they quickly realize that the people aren’t who they seem. After Rick spots one of the Terminus habitants wearing a pocket watch that looks exactly like Glenn’s pocket watch he received from Hershel, Rick soon realizes that Glenn and Maggie and that whole group must either be dead or locked up somewhere. After Rick shoots the Terminus habitant, war breaks loose as the guards of Terminus begin shooting Rick and the group. The group runs through the facility and end up in a room filled with candles and ominous writing on the wall that looks oddly like a sacrifice room. At the end of the scene Rick and the others get locked in a train cargo car where they soon discover that Maggie, Glenn, Sasha, Bob, Tara, Abraham, Ugene and Rosita are all locked in the same place. Then the season abruptly ends leaving audiences with a huge cliff hanger.
