“General Hospital” weekly recap – Week of 4/21-4/25

Michael dropped by Sonny’s house on his way to AJ’s funeral. He asked Sonny to go with him. Sonny doubted AJ would want him there. Michael explained that he learned to love AJ, but he needed Sonny to lean on for support. Sonny still thought it was a bad idea because it would upset Monica too much. Once Michael left, AJ returned to haunt and taunt Sonny, who then flashed through everything that occurred when he shot AJ.

Spencer showed up at the Quartermaine mansion and accused “Luke” of plotting against his Uncle Sonny. Spencer then told him what he overheard between him and Julian at the Cassadine stables. “Luke” suggested that he get his ears fixed and that he was mistaken. Spencer then complained about being dumped and asked him to stop his plans against Sonny or he would blab everything he heard to Sonny. “Luke's” eyes then darted around and he informed Spencer that he'd heard too much and asked him to keep quiet about all of it. When Spencer refused to do so “Luke” threatened to hurt him, but Spencer stood his ground and then warned “Luke” that his father would come after him if he hurt him. "Your father is a pompous jerk," “Luke” said before he then threatened to hurt Emma instead if Spencer blabbed. Then Sonny walked in.

Franco was at the PCPD chatting with Diane in the office. She was surprised to hear about him trashing his hotel room. He tried to stop her from halting the charges, but that wasn’t easy. Diane then guessed that he wanted to be locked up. In the interrogation room, Carlos was on the phone with Ava. He refused to co-operate with her so she threatened to go after Sabrina and her unborn baby. This enraged Carlos, but Ava continued to mock him and threatened Sabrina again. Then Dante walked in and took the phone away from Carlos. He then took it out to Diane and gave her 10 seconds with Franco, who still didn't want her help. She then went in to see Carlos. He informed her he was pleading the fifth. Diane wasn't thrilled that neither man seemed to want her legal help and left.

At home, Ava called someone, gave them Sabrina's name, told them what she wanted them to do and that she couldn’t afford any mistakes. She then called Morgan, who hung up on her because he was comforting Kiki. Ava then left for the funeral to find out what had Kiki so upset and ran into Carly outside her room. Carly was shocked that Ava would show her face at the funeral and thought she would be too busy worrying about Carlos’ arrest. Ava knew Carly knew about the shooting and warned her to back off.

Sabrina showed up at Patrick's. He wasn't expecting her, but she told him that Emma invited her to her recital. Patrick then told her that he lost his temper with Emma and things have been tense between them ever since. Patrick then admitted that he hadn't told Emma that he was going to be a father again. Then Emma came in the room and wondered what they were talking about. Patrick sat her down and promised to try not to lose his temper again. They then showed her the sonogram of Sabrina’s unborn baby and then explained that Patrick was the father.

Elizabeth came down from her suite at Wyndemere and got Nikolas to zip up her dress for AJ’s funeral. Ric then arrived and interrupted the moment. Nikolas wasn't happy to see him. Ric told Elizabeth that living there was a terrible idea and the three of them bickered. Ric offered to help Elizabeth recuperate, but she said she was fine there. She then got Nikolas to step out and then argued with Ric. He wondered if she was hoping to get back together with Nikolas. Elizabeth replied that wasn’t going to happen and asked him to accept that she was staying there. Before he left, he assured her that he wasn’t giving up on her. When Ric was gone, Nikolas rushed in, worried that Spencer was missing and never made it to school. He found out Spencer was at the Quartermaine’s and told Elizabeth that Spencer thought “Luke” was plotting against Sonny. Elizabeth suggested that there might be something to what Spencer was saying given “Luke’s” odd behavior of late.

At home, Emma felt like she was being tricked by Patrick and Sabrina after Britt’s baby didn’t turn out to be Patrick’s, but Sabrina promised that her baby was really her little brother and Emma brightened up. Emma then got ready for her recital and Sabrina apologized again to Patrick for lying to him that the baby was Carlos’. He then realized that Sabrina hadn’t heard that Carlos had been arrested for AJ’s murder and handed her the paper. She told Patrick that she was sure Carlos was innocent, about Carlos’ gash the same day AJ was attacked, how he swore on her baby’s soul that he didn’t shoot AJ and that she believed him. Emma emerged and was ready to go see her loved ones at the recital, including her boyfriend Cameron. She ignored a call as they left, it was Spencer trying to warn her.

Carlos thought about Ava’s threats against Sabrina in his cell. Franco was brought in and he tried to chat with Carlos about Ava. “She screwed you, just like she’s screwed me.” Franco then told Carlos how for years Ava led him to believe they had a daughter together because it suited her, until it didn’t and she pulled the rug out from under him. Franco told Carlos that he knew that Ava had put Carlos up to shooting AJ and Carlos was about to spill the beans, but then Carly came to see Franco. He started a fake fight with her in front of Carlos to get him to keep talking and she played along and fought back before leaving. Once Carly left, Franco offered to help Carlos, but Carlos wouldn’t tell him anything because someone’s life was at stake.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy and Ned argued about “Luke.” Ned told Tracy that “Luke” threatened to kill him but she couldn’t believe that “Luke” really meant it. Ned wondered what harm “Luke” could cause “people less equipped to handle him.” Yet, Tracy insisted that she was marrying “Luke” and that no one was going to stop her.

Meanwhile, Morgan entered with Kiki to protect her from “Luke.” She was concerned Ava might be jealous, but Morgan told her he had nothing to do with Ava anymore. When Ava called him he told her it wasn’t a good time and hung up on her. They then joined Tracy and Ned, and Ned was shocked to hear Tracy accuse Kiki of making a pass at “Luke.” Kiki thought it was a mistake to come and Tracy stormed out. Morgan then told Ned that “Luke” was the one who had been hitting on Kiki. Ned wanted to hear the whole story so Kiki laid out all the dirty details, including his attack on her at Franco’s place. Ned believed her and told her that “Luke” had once raped a woman and spun it into a seduction. He then asked Kiki to keep this just among them so they could set a trap that would expose “Luke” to Tracy.

In another room,. Sonny entered as “Luke” told Spencer to keep his mouth shut or Emma would pay the price and asked Spencer if everything was okay. “Luke” replied that Spencer was shaken up over the fleeting nature of life. Sonny suggested that the conversation was too dark for a child, but “Luke” commented how “sharp Spencer was” and how he understood that people die every day…even people younger than AJ. Spencer then told Sonny that wasn’t what they were talking about and confessed that they were actually talking about him. Sonny guessed it was about Emma and his unanswered calls and he promised to make everything better.

Then Nikolas angrily arrived, but Spencer wouldn’t leave until he said what he needed to Sonny. Nikolas apologized to “Luke,” who said that Spencer now knew that bad things happen when you tell tales. Then, Tracy entered and asked to speak to “Luke” alone. Once they were alone, she told him that she had heard that he had threatened to kill Ned and he told her it was true. He explained that he had threatened violence because Ned told him he would live to regret ripping up the prenup. “Luke” then refused to apologize for loving her and promised it wouldn’t happen again, but that he wouldn’t let anyone stand in their way. She then headed for the service and he hung back and called someone to “solve a problem.” Meanwhile, Ava found Sonny then, Elizabeth approached and talked about AJ’s murderer being in custody.

Back at Wyndemere, Cameron told Spencer that Emma invited him to her recital. Spencer wanted Cameron to watch over Emma then realized he needs to do it himself, but Nikolas wouldn’t let him go because he was grounded until further notice. Spencer wondered what he could do to stop Uncle Luke for hurting Emma.

Mac filmed Emma as she entered her recital with Patrick and Sabrina and then he took her to join Anna and Felicia. Cameron then ran in with flowers for Emma and Sabrina asked Nikolas how Elizabeth was recuperating. Nikolas brought up the man in custody for AJ’s murder and Sabrina insisted that Carlos was innocent. Nikolas had more questions, but then Sabrina dashed off. Patrick then told Nikolas that Sabrina had a past with Carlos. Meanwhile, Spencer got to the recital and hid. He then called out to Emma and begged her to leave with him but she refused. After the recital, Nikolas saw Spencer and dragged him home.

Monica grieved for AJ in the Quartermaine crypt with Tracy. Then Michael arrived and Tracy left them alone. Michael told Monica that he had invited Sonny, but that he refused to come out of respect for her. She was glad Sonny had the decency to stay away. Michael replied that he just wanted his parents there for support.

Inside the mansion, Ned told Morgan and Kiki that he wanted to set a trap for “Luke” and proposed using Kiki as bait. He promised Morgan that Kiki wouldn’t be in any danger. Morgan wasn’t willing to risk Kiki’s safety, but Kiki was ready to stop “Luke’s” skeevy fondling. Ned directed Kiki to the den and headed to the terrace to make sure Tracy watched it all. Morgan made one more attempt to change Kiki’s mind about the plan, but she was determined to get “Luke.”

In another room, Elizabeth told Sonny and Ava that she hoped the person in custody for shooting AJ could answer some questions so everyone could move on. Carly entered and agreed that they all would like to know what happened to AJ. Ava and Elizabeth quickly excused themselves and Carly demanded to know why Sonny was there. He told her that he was there to comfort Michael and told Carly to leave it alone.

In the den, “Luke” called someone and told them that Spencer was a problem and that his weakness was Emma Drake. Then Ava walked in and overheard the tail end of the conversation. “Luke” was surprised to see her. Ava told him that something had happened to Kiki that morning that upset her and she was going to find out what it was. Luke watched Ava’s backside as she walked away and called her back. He then pulled her close and told her she had “great … assets.” She dislodged herself from his grasp and disgustedly walked away.

Outside, Ned intercepted Tracy and asked her to look into the den where Kiki was now alone with “Luke”. Inside, “Luke” told Kiki he knew she had “daddy issues,” but he wasn’t available. He then loudly proclaimed his love for Tracy and outside Tracy beamed. She told Ned that she knew Kiki was the instigator. Ned then realized that “Luke” had somehow figured out their trap.

Then Sonny, Carly and Tracy joined Monica and Michael at the crypt. Sonny offered to leave if Monica wanted him to, but she allowed it, for Michael’s sake. Everyone made it in time for the service, and Monica somberly laid flowers on AJ’s grave and cried. Tracy then hugged her and moved her inside to get ready for the reception. After the service, Michael told Sonny how much it helped him that he was there. Sonny replied that he would always be there for Michael.

Inside the mansion, Ava turned on the news and learned Franco was in lockup at the PCPD with Carlos. Then Carly joined her and thought it would be funny if Franco and Carlos became friends. In fact, Carly wondered what those “jailbirds were talking about right now.”

Meanwhile, Kiki found Morgan and worried that “Luke” would come after her now that she set him up. Morgan held Kiki and promised to take care of her. Ava entered, saw their embrace then left noticeably jealous. Morgan chased after Ava and then thought she could be mad about something else.

Later, Elizabeth found “Luke” alone in the den and he offered her a drink. Nikolas enters and told Elizabeth that Spencer had crashed Emma’s recital. “Luke’s” ears pricked up at the mention of the children and after they left, he made another call. Tracy later joined “Luke” and told him that she saw Kiki hit on him courtesy of Ned. “Luke” then told Tracy that he only wanted her.

Later, Michael told Carly that she and Sonny were the best parents he could have had.

Outside, Sonny entered the Quartermaine crypt, but couldn’t escape AJ’s ghost, who congratulated Sonny on getting what he always wanted…Michael all to himself. He then told Sonny goodbye and Ava arrived.

In lockup at the PCPD, Franco offered to share his Ava expertise with Carlos if he leveled with him. Carlos said that he wouldn’t talk because someone’s life was at stake. Franco said that he would be a free man the next day and offered to warn whoever was in danger. Carlos finally told Franco that it was “the one person I couldn’t stand to lose… Sabrina Santiago.” He asked Franco to get Sabrina out of town and offered anything in return. Franco wanted to know if Ava sent him to the Quartermaine’s to kill AJ and Carlos finally confessed that she did.

Sabrina, Patrick and Emma were driving home from the recital when someone swerved in front of them and Patrick slammed on the brakes. When Patrick woke after the car crashed, Emma seemed fine, but Sabrina was unconscious. Patrick called 911, then tried to keep Emma calm. Then Sabrina woke up in a lot of pain. “It’s the baby,” she screamed. Patrick got Sabrina out of the wreckage and then a car pulled up. It was Britt, who just happened by. She got down to help Sabrina and told them she was in labor. Sabrina started screaming that it was too soon for her baby to be born.

Ava found Sonny in the Quartermaine crypt and tearfully told him that she saw Kiki in Morgan’s arms. She raged about how pathetic she was being jealous of her own daughter and Sonny realized Ava really did love Morgan. She admitted that she did, and that Morgan loved her. “But sometimes love isn’t enough,” she added. Sonny then told Ava that Michael wasn’t coping well with AJ’s death and that he was the one who put the pain there. Ava told him to stop torturing himself and to find a way to live with what he had done. He told her that he wanted to tell Michael the truth because if he didn’t, the guilt would eat at him until there was nothing left. Ava then told him that she too had done unforgiveable things and was still standing. Doesn’t he see that they were the same? She then imagined what it would feel like to expose all she had done and said how she would give anything for one moment of relief. They then grabbed each other and started kissing. He told her this was all he wanted and they start removing their clothes.

Inside, Kiki and Morgan were talking about “Luke” when he entered. He taunted “the little temptress” but Morgan told him that he knew he was the attacker. “Luke” tells Morgan that “Freaky Kiki” was a conniving little slut. Carly and Michael walked in and “Luke” played off their conversation as remembering AJ, offering his over-the-top condolences, but Morgan snapped and yelled, “This is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard.” Everyone was shocked and he apologized for his behavior. After “Luke” left, Carly demanded that Morgan tell her what was really going on. Morgan made her drop it. Carly then got a text and Michael told her that he’d be fine if she left. They hugged and Carly told her boys that she loved them before she left. Michael told Morgan he was free to go too and left to find Monica. Kiki walked Morgan out and they saw that Ava’s car was still there. Morgan then left to go find Ava.

Meanwhile, “Luke” called Julian and asked for an update. Satisfied, he told Julian to keep the drugs moving so they could put Sonny out of business.

At the PCPD, Anna bragged about Emma to Nathan, then headed to the lockup to see if Carlos was ready to talk. Nathan left Britt another voicemail before an officer presented him with the 911 info on Patrick, Sabrina and Emma’s car accident. He then told Nathan Anna was going to want to know about it.

Downstairs, Franco asked Carlos why Ava sent him to the Quartermaine’s to kill AJ. Before he could answer, Anna entered and asked Carlos if he was ready to talk. He declined and she informed him that they then would have no choice but to charge him with AJ’s murder. Then Nathan interrupted with news of Patrick, Sabrina and Emma’s accident. Carlos yelled out for news of her condition, but Anna and Nathan rushed off and Carlos lamented that Ava did this to hurt Sabrina. He then refused to tell Franco anything else and called for a guard so he could call his lawyer. Later, Franco told Carly that Ava sent Carlos to the Quartermaine’s to kill AJ and that Ava caused an accident to hurt Carlos’ love, Sabrina.

Upstairs, Carlos left a voicemail for Ava that he knew what she did to Sabrina.

Anna arrived at the accident site and kept Emma calm as Sabrina cried out in pain. Britt told Patrick and Sabrina that they needed to deliver Sabrina’s baby…NOW! Meanwhile, Nathan arrived and began to going over the accident site. A reporter arrived and ambushed Anna for a statement. Emma accidentally told him that a car ran them off the road. Then the EMTs arrived and assisted Britt with Sabrina. Nathan told Anna that the other driver caused the accident and then drove away. Emma then commented that Britt showed up right after the accident. Anna and Nathan looked at each other upon hearing this.

At Wyndemere, Cameron taunted Spencer for being grounded, but Spencer insists he was only at the recital to warn Emma. He then asked Cameron to use his phone but he refused to let him. Then they started negotiating and Cameron agreed to let Spencer use it if he gave him money so he could take Emma out for a romantic dinner at Kelly’s since she loves their BLT’s. Spencer handed Cameron the money and Cameron handed gave him his phone. Spencer then turned on the news and saw Emma tell the reporter that someone ran them off the road. He called “Luke” and told him that he knew he drove Emma off the road and promised not to say anything about what he was planning to do to Uncle Sonny.

Sonny and Ava made out in the Quartermaine crypt. As they tore each other’s clothed off, Carlos kept calling Ava’s phone and leaving threatening messages. They finished up their sex romp on the floor and then wondered what they had just done. They both knew it was a mistake. Ava worried about Morgan and Sonny worried about Olivia. She suggested that they keep their little tryst between them.

Then they heard Morgan screaming for them. When he got inside the crypt, he wondered what was going on. "I needed some fresh air," Ava said and tried to make excuses, but Morgan yelled, "You two just had sex!" He then lectured Sonny for being a hypocrite. Screaming, Sonny admitted that he and Ava had just had sex and sat in a corner as Morgan ranted at Ava about how everyone was right about her, but he refused to listen. When Morgan turned to Sonny, he screamed back until Morgan finally walked out. Afterward, Ava wandered out and listened to the messages from Carlos.

Olivia sat in The Metro Court lounge and cried over Sonny. Duke interrupted and they had a drink. She unloaded about her problems with Sonny and asked Duke if Sonny had told him anything. Duke replied that he couldn't say anything. He then told her about his problems with Anna, which put everything in perspective for her. She then told Duke that she was sure that love was all that matters. After Duke wandered off, Olivia called Sonny and left him a message about getting past their problems. Then a distraught Morgan stomped into The Metro Court and Sonny rushed in after him.

By the side of the road, Britt and Patrick tried to deliver Sabrina's baby. When the baby came out, it didn't cry. Sabrina was wheeled away to the ambulance and Patrick carried the baby. Anna took Emma away. Nathan cornered Britt and asked her how she arrived at the scene so quickly. She explained that she had been staying with Brad and just happened by. He then asked if she caused the accident. She was insulted and left for the hospital. Nathan continued to look around the accident scene and found Sabrina’s phone.

At GH, Epiphany browbeat Felix for being a jerk to patients. He blamed it on his break-up with Brad. She told him that he can do better. Then Lucy showed up and started going on about the Nurses' Ball. She wanted Felix to strip for money... or charity and he agreed. Lucy then started making more suggestions about Sabrina dancing. One second later, Sabrina was wheeled in on a gurney with Patrick trailing behind holding their baby. Lucy heard what had happened and started praying. Felix then took Sabrina to a room down the hall. When she woke up, she remembered what happened and started freaking out asking about her son.

In the PCPD lockup, Franco told Carly what he'd managed to get out of Carlos and the threat Ava made against Sabrina. He also told her about the accident. Carly freaked out and wanted to call Anna with what they knew, but Franco advised against it and warned her how dangerous Ava was. Carly still wanted to talk to the cops. He offered to talk to them for her so he could face Ava's wrath. She agreed to get the charges against him dropped. Upstairs, Anna arrived at the PCPD. She was surprised to see Carlos out of lockup. He told her that he had heard about the accident and Anna told him the few details she knew. Then Duke arrived. Anna gave him the details of the accident and then Franco and Carly came in. Franco then told Anna that there was something she needed to know. Back down in the lockup, Ava arrived to see Carlos.
