'X-Men: Days of Future Past' second trailer has Wolverine sent back in time to save mutants (Video)

A second trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past was posted Monday morning, revealing a bit more of how the past and present mutants will meet up in one film.

The two and a half-minute trailer shows that Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is the one sent to the past by Professor X (Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Ian McKellen) to try to stop a war between the mutants from beginning. They understand that there are some mistakes that need to be fixed in the past between young Professor X (James McAvoy) and young Magneto (Michael Fassbender).

It also looks like Mystique gets a bigger role, likely to give Jennifer Lawrence more time on screen. Halle Berry has a few scenes as Storm in her return to the franchise.

The first trailer was released back in October. That one showed that young and old Professor X will meet up and that image was also used in the latest trailer.

Days of Future Past, directed by Bryan Singer, opens on May 23, 2014. Fox has plenty of time to release at least one more trailer before then.
