Wayne Knight responds to death hoax on Twitter

Actor Wayne Knight took to Twitter Sunday morning to debunk rumors of his death reported by fake news sites Saturday evening.
According to Hollywood Take, a fake site resembling TMZ reported first that Knight was involved in a semi-tractor-trailer accident around the border between New York and Pennsylvania. The fabrication was later published by another doppelganger site of US Magazine, causing a stir among social media sites and prompting Knight to clear his name.
Knight responded on Twitter, "Does someone have to DIE to trend? Geez! Thanks for all the love everybody. I didn’t know you cared. Glad to be breathing!"
Ace Show Biz reports that an actual accident did take place earlier this week in Eldred Township where the ordeal allegedly occurred. Apparently a woman from New York perished in the accident while two passengers were severely injured. Knight regarded, "Regrets to my friends and family who were shocked this morning and the family of the woman who actually died in my 'supposed' accident."
Knight is known for his role as Newman from Seinfeld and his appearances in movies such as Space Jam and Jurassic Park.
