UConn upsets Michigan State to reach Final Four

UConn continued their Cinderella run in the NCAA tournament by eliminating Michigan State. They will advance to the Final Four for the first time since 2011, when they won the championship. The final score was 60-54.

The Huskies are the first No. 7 seed to reach the Final Four since 1985, which was when the tournament expanded to 64 teams, according to Star Tribune.

The Huskies fell behind 32-23 at the beginning of the second half, but they fought back with a 12-0 run. They eventually took a 10-point lead with 6:30 remaining. The Spartans then went on a 12-4 run to cut the Huskies' lead to two with 57 seconds left.

With 30 seconds remaining, Shabazz Napier shot a three-pointer and was fouled by Keith Appling. This ultimately cost the Spartans the game as Napier made all three of his free throws.

Napier was the star of the game with 25 points, six rebounds and four assists as reported by ESPN. Gary Harris led the Spartans with 22 points.

The Huskies will face Florida in the Final Four on April 5.
