Fast & Furious 7 star Tyrese Gibson talks about how filming will be with the absence of Paul Walker.
Gibson told Too Fab that the cast of the Fast & Furious 7 are close on set and even closer off camera.
"This is the only movie I ever worked on where we are all real close even after the movie is over," said Gibson. "It wasn't just losing a costar, he was family for real. That's why it took so long to recover."
Gibson went on to say that he hopes that no one on set will get hurt and they will always remember Walker’s spirit.
"God's grace is all we have," said Gibson. "Before we start filming we are going to have a strong prayer. That will be the start, before we film anything. That's what is needed for us to do Fast & Furious 7."
Co-star Vin Diesel opened up about his feelings about filming without Walker on his Facebook page.
"The transition into that Dom state of mind has always been an interesting one," said Diesel. "Only this time there is added purpose, a collective goal to make this the best one in the series."
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Walker’s character Brian O'Connor, will not be killed off in the film. Filmmakers intend to retire the character in a manner that will make the fans of the movie happy. They will be making use of the footage Walker did prior to his November 30 death.
Us Weekly added that Kurt Russell, who played a father figure, talked about the future of Walker’s character in the film.
“It's catastrophic," said Russell. "It's the worst thing that could happen to a movie. But it's not as bad as what happened to Paul."
Fast & Furious 7 is set to be release on April 10, 2015.
