The New York Rangers teamed up with the Garden of Dreams Foundation to raise money for children

Last Night, Gotham Hall in New York City hosted the New York Rangers annual casino night in order to raise money for the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

Madison Square Garden sportscaster Sam Rosen, threw a casino night for the Rangers roster, along with their coaches, alumni and staff. The night was chock full of well-known casino and card games, dinner and a silent auction of Rangers items and one of a kind memorabilia, as reported in Rolling Stone.> The players traded in the blueshirts for pristine tuxedos.

2006 marked the beginning of the magic that the Garden of Dreams Foundation creates for children. The foundation is responsible for bringing light to the lives of 250,000 children and their loved ones. The Rangers casino night helped raise around $300,000 for the Garden of Dreams Foundation, which closely works with Madison Square Garden. All monetary proceeds go straight to the foundation, according to NHL.com>

The team was able to experience a night of good fun, while spending money to donate to a brilliant cause.

The New York Rangers have been entertaining and trying to please their fans all season—they continued to take a step further by trying to help children and lift their spirits.
