RCA will release ‘Elvis Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis’ this week

Elvis Presley’s two CD set will be released by RCA Records and Legacy Recordings this upcoming Tuesday.

The new CD set includes songs that are re-mastered. Elvis Recorded Live on Stage in Memphis features music from a concert, including songs that weren’t on the original album. The original album was released on vinyl in 1974, according to the Associated Press. The album featured the spiritual song, “How Great Thou Art.”

The Grammy Award from the gospel hit is on display at a new exhibit in Graceland. Presley had an outstanding recording career that spanned over 60 years, according to Business Wire. The exhibit can be viewed at the Graceland mansion in Memphis, TN. The exhibit includes the original jumpsuit that Elvis wore on stage during the Grammy Awards. Interestingly, Presley was still signed to RCA at the time.

Presley lived at Graceland until his death on August 16, 1977. The exhibit, 60 Years of Elvis, will be open until Feb. 2014.
