Target was recently criticized for their (terrible) photoshop, and now Old Navy is being slammed for what looks like a photoshopped thigh gap in their plus size pants line.
According to E! News, Old Navy is being accused of photoshopping a thigh gap on the mannequin models on their website.
In a close-up view of the plus-size pants, critics are saying that someone used an eraser tool from MS Paint to put the gap between the jeans, further promoting the thigh gap craze.
Old Navy later released a statement to Jezebel explaining why the gap was created:
“At Old Navy we strive to show our customers the most accurate representation of how product fits the body. This includes pinning garments on body forms to show how they will actually appear. While we do remove these pins in post-production, we do not use any photo-altering techniques to deliberately distort the actual look or fit of our product.”
While Old Navy may not be photoshopping their clothes, do you think they are wrong to alter the garments by pinning them?
