Jennette McCurdy skipped the Kid’s Choice Awards this year due to the unfair treatment she received from Nickelodeon.
According to Just Jared, she voluntarily chose not to go because she was put in an uncomfortable position, which ultimately lead to her making the hard decision.
McCurdy was nominated for Favorite TV Actress alongside co-star, Ariana Grande. Grande ended up taking the blimp home. Their show, Sam and Cat, also grabbed the blimp for Favorite TV Show. Grande and the rest of the cast thanked McCurdy while they accepted the award.
Following the show, she took to her Twitter account to explain why she didn’t attend the show.

Though she gave no specifications for the situation she was talking about, she did mention that she was treated unfairly and was standing up for herself.
Many fans thought it had to do with her previously leaked racy photos.
We reported that rumors were swirling the controversy of McCurdy’s intimate photos and how they might affect her show.
Regardless of her relationship with Nickelodeon now, fans are continuing their support for McCurdy and her career.
