Sirens premiered on the USA network on March 6.
Sirens was co-created by Dennis Leary. The show is a series about three EMTS in Chicago, based on a British series. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leary told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour, "I was a big fan of [executive producer] Bob[Fisher]'s and I wanted to co-write the thing so I wouldn't be responsible for f---ing up the British series. I don't think there's enough guys dressed up as EMTs in the lobby."
Sirens can be seen regularly on Thursday evenings on USA. The show features Michael Mosley as Johnny and Kevin Daniels as Hank.| The show features original characters created by comedian, Dennis Leary. According to Robert Bianco at USA Today, Leary and Fisher have given the USA Network a “lighter, far less edgy version of Leary's FX firefighter series.”
Dennis Leary was the star and co-creator of the show, Rescue Me, which was on the air from 2004 – 2011. Leary was nominated for several Golden Globes for his work on Rescue Me. He was also an actor in The Amazing Spider-Man. Leary founded the Leary Firefighters Foundation after six firefighters from his hometown in Worcester, Ma. tragically died.
