Fans of the show, The Good Wife, were surprised on Sunday to see the death of the attorney, Will Gardner, played by Josh Charles.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Josh Charles posted in his Twitter, “Sending out all my love to #TheGoodWife fans! Playing Will Gardner was an honor and a pleasure. Thanks for all of your support & kind words!” He also sent gracious words via Twitter to the writers of the show. He said that he has learned so much working with them and that he is “in awe of their talent and storytelling.”
The episode was called “Dramatics, Your Honor.” Gardner was a rival lawyer, and was a love interest to the star of the show, Julianna Margulies. Margulies plays Alicia Florrick, an attorney.
Charles received a Golden Globe nomination this year. He also received an Emmy nomination in 2010. He appeared in the ABC series, SportsNight. He also appeared in the HBO drama, In Treatment with Gabriel Byrne, according to the Associated Press.
CBS has also made big changes to the primary casts in their shows, Person of Interest and The Mentalist.
