Actor Chris Pine pleads guilty to a drunken driving offense in New Zealand.
Pine appeared at his court day as anticipated on Monday. Judge Joanna Maze ordered that Pine cannot drive for six months. He was fined NZ 4400 and ordered to pay $93 for the offence.
Pine, 33, donated to a New Zealand charity, according to Reuters. He seemed to be contrite at the hearing. His attorney, Marilyn Gilchrist entered the plea. The lawyer told the court that Pine made the wrong decision to drive. He was seen with his Icelandic girlfriend, Iris Bjork Johannesdottir, at the Blue Pub in Methven.
Pine was arrested last Wednesday in Methven, New Zealand. His blood-alcohol level exceeded the 0.8 limit. According to the Huffington Post, Pine’s blood-alcohol level was 0.11 percent.
Pine has been busy filming the motion picture, Z for Zachariah in New Zealand. Pine is previously known for his role as Kirk on Star Trek Into Darkness. He has also appeared as Jack Ryan in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
