The American Horror Story revealed their subtitle for the fourth season on FX. The next installment of the show will be titled American Horror Story: Freak Show.
American Horror Story writer Douglas Petrie took a moment to confirm the premise for the series. It will be set in a spooky carnival. Petrie spoke during a Nerdist Writers Panel podcast. He told Moira Kirland, Terry Matalas, and Travis Fickett that the drama would have a carnival theme in the upcoming season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It will take place in the 50s and will star Jessica Lange. Other actors in the series have included Evan Peters and Lily Rabe.
The show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the title of the series via Twitter, according to Entertainment Weekly. The lead actors and show creators are set to appear at Paley Fest on March 28. In 2014, the show was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.
The show debuts in October on FX.
