Woman arrested for movie rental

Kayla Michelle Finley, 27, was arrested and charged after she did not return a movie rental from 2005 in Pickens, SC.

The warrant says, letters were sent to Finley about returning the video several time, but she did not respond, reports FOX News. Apparently a certified warrant was sent her way on Sept. 12, 2005, said FOX.

The video store Dalton Video is no longer in business.

The warrants for the video cassette said the movie was not returned within 72 hours.

Finley was being charged for a misdemeanor.

According to WYFF4, Pickens County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Creed Hashe said, Finley was at the county office for another reason on Thurs. and the active warrant was uncovered.

Finley was arrested and spent the night in jail. Her bond hearing was Friday morning, where she was issued a $2,000 personal recognizance bond by the judge and was let go, writes WYFF.

Finley plans to fight the charges, and says she never received the notices.

The movie was Monster-In-Law starring Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda.
