Demi Lovato’s music career is quickly regaining momentum. After a less-than-perfect album release, Demi is ready to showcase her musical talents as she embarks on her third tour. The Neon Lights Tour is in support of her latest album, Demi, which was released in May of 2013. The album was not as successful as her previous Unbroken, but it did produce one of her biggest hits, “Heart Attack.” Lovato was a judge on The X Factor for two seasons, before she made the decision to leave this past December to embark on her tour. Lovato announced her Neon Lights Tour in September of last year. She also announced that X Factor groups, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony, would serve as her opening acts. The powerful all-girl lineup is sure to have fans dancing and singing along to all their catchy tunes. To celebrate Demi’s new tour, here’s a look at ten of her best songs from all four of her albums and other music releases.

1. Off her third album, “Lightweight” shows Demi’s vulnerability in song form. The song depicts Demi letting people know that she also gets hurt by words, but is able to be strong with support from others. Here she is performing the song in Los Angeles at the Greet Theatre:

2. U Got Nothin’ On Me was featured on Demi’s second album, Here We Go Again. It features a California rock vibe while also showcasing a catchy tune. Demi sings about being able to one-up a guy who cheated on her and got caught.

3. Fans were first introduced to Demi Lovato on the Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock. The movie went on to become a massive success, leading to a sequel and even a summer tour featuring the cast of the film. “Who Will I Be?” was the first number in the movie where Demi sings her butt off, showing the world her powerhouse voice.

4. Demi’s earlier music was very rock-heavy. It almost eclipsed heavy-metal music, but of course, Disney did not let that happen. As she wrote songs for her first album, Hollywood Records thought her sound was too dark, so they brought in the Jonas Brothers to help write songs with a happier sound. Here’s “The Middle,” which was featured on her first album, Don’t Forget

5. Her latest single, “Neon Lights” shows fans a new side of Demi. The beat-heavy dance song goes places she has never seen. As the lead single for her current tour, the song surpasses many of her others as one of her best. She even created an app to coincide with the song so people at her shows can be a part of her Neon Lights experience.
[new page = Catch Me]
6. Catch Me is one of Demi’s sweetest songs. The songs simplicity is what makes it so unique. It’s just Demi and a guitar for most of the song. Towards the latter half of the song, it picks up by adding a band but continues to keep its sincerity.
[new page = Here We Go Again]
7. Lovato came back full force for her second album. The title track, “Here We Go Again,” served as the first single and showed that Demi was not playing around. The song is very strong for a first single, but failed to show any sort of growth from the first album.
[new page = Believe In Me]
8. “Believe In Me” wrapped up Demi’s first album as the last song. She pulls out all the stops in the rock-infused tune where she sings about wanting support from others in order for her to succeed.
[new page = You’re My Only Shorty]
9. “You’re My Only Shorty “Featuring Iyaz was on Demi’s third album, Unbroken. The song, originally intended for Ariana Grande, was passed along to Lovato after Grande passed on it. She does, however, sing backup vocals in the song for Demi. The song is very bouncy, happy and catchy. It comes as a complete change from Demi’s previous music.
[new page = Shouldn’t Come Back]
10. Rounding out the list is “Shouldn’t Come Back.” The song, featured on Demi, is one of Demi’s most softspoken yet powerful songs. She sings about being in a relationship that didn’t end too well, and even though their might still be some feelings left, it is better for both parties to go their own separate ways.
