Singer Lauryn Hill cancels N.J. show for second time

Singer and New Jersey native Lauryn Hill cancels her show for this Friday for a second time.

Hill was scheduled to perform Friday night at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. This show was originally set to go off in December but due to circumstances then, she rescheduled for this coming Friday, Feb 7. According to the theater, she cancelled the show because she has fallen sick.

“She came down with a stomach bug/virus last night and received medical attention today,” her representative said in a statement.

Hill’s most recent performance before she become ill was on the David Letterman show, this past Friday night. She performed a tribute to the Beatles. However her representatives told fans that the show was previously recorded before she became sick. In addition, they said that her performance was recorded on Thursday even though it aired on Friday.

Hill had made a deal with a judge that instead of serving home confinement, she would tour instead. She had served three months in a Correctional Institution for not pay $1.8 million in taxes, as previously reported by the Associated Press.
