Feb. 27, Scarlett Johansson will be hitting the cover of Dazed & Confused magazine, in which she talks opens up about the Sodastream controversy.

At the end of last month, Johansson stepped down as Oxfam ambassador after eight years. Oxfam protests trading from the Israeli settlements located in the West Bank. The reason is that the settlements deny rights to Palestinians, a criticism Sodastream faced.

According to TIME, Johannsson released a statement saying that, “She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement.”

Johansson also spoke out on a Huffington Post blog about her relationship with Sodastream.

“I remain a supporter of economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine,” she wrote. “Sodastream is a company that is not only committed to the environment but to building a bridge to peace between Israel and Palestine, supporting neighbors working alongside each other, receiving equal pay, equal benefits and equal rights.”

In her interview with Dazed, Johansson speaks about what others see of her and indirectly Oxfam.

“I don’t see myself as being a role model,” she said according to the Daily Mail. “I never wanted to step into those shoes. How could I wake up every day and be a normal person if I was completely aware that my image was being manipulated on a global platform. How could I sleep?”
