Rosie O’Donnell’s righteous return to ‘The View’

Friday morning heralded Rosie O’Donnell’s speculative reappearance on the ABC morning show The View.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former host turned guest hasn’t appeared on the show in almost seven years since her departure in 2007. O’Donnell was only on the show for a year’s time, and was well known for engaging in aggressive arguments with fellow cohosts Barbara Walters and Elizabeth Hasselbeck. On being back on the set, O’Donnell commented that “This feels kind of weird but good weird."
Entertainment Weekly reports that O’Donnell talked about an impending stand-up special for HBO, her appearance on ABC family’s show The Fosters, and her 2012 heart attack in light of National Wear Red Day for Cancer awareness. She even participated in the show’s hot topics segment, and was especially sympathetic to the controversy surrounding pop star Justin Beiber.
”Oh, come on. I throw eggs at houses every Halloween of my life. Do I think he needs parental supervision in a way that he’s not getting? I certainly do. But do I think he should be deported? No way, José.”
O’Donnell was replaced on The View by comedian Whoopi Goldberg, and the show has since added TV personality Jenny McCarthy.
