Not only lending her acting voice to the Dreamworks animated film Home but Rihanna will be recording a conceptual album based on the movie.
According to Variety the animated feature Home, which also stars Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez, and Steve Martin, will now include songs from Rihanna, which she will perform in the movie, and she will be making a full conceptual album based on the movie.
Home, formerly called Happy Smekday! based on the Adam Rex book The True Meaning of Smekday has been pretty quiet, without much advertising, but Rotoscopers reviewer got to see a snippet of trailer while attending a screening of Mr. Peabody and Sherman. Although he stated there wasn’t too much to describe, much like Frozen’s early teasers featuring only Olaf and Sven, the five minute long trailer was only described as featuring “aliens searching for a new planet to inhabit”, visiting several before finally deciding Earth being suitable for their needs.
Mr. Peabody & Sherman will release in theatres March 7, and it is assumed the same teaser for Home will play in the theaters. Home is scheduled for release on November 26, 2014.
