'Pretty Little Liars' Recap: 'She's Come Undone'

On this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars, Paige was a total jerk, Aria went crazy, Spencer tried to get off her pills and Hanna tried to hold it all together.

The episode began with Aria telling the girls about what Ezra had told her and what she had found in the few pages of his book. While the other girls were convinced that he was A, Aria just called him a horrible person and that he “never loved her.” Emily tried to say that he may have been using the book as a cover up but Aria was sure that he wasn’t A.

As Aria lay, understandably, pathetic on her bed, she had a dream/flashback of when she and Ezra first met. Side note, she looked so young. It’s hard to believe that the flashback was just three years ago. They were at the bar and he was asking her if she was ok. What they didn’t show was their impromptu make out session in the bathroom. Aria woke up from her dream/flashback, angrier than ever.

With Spencer, her parents think that she should go to rehab. They say that they can’t cover for her. She begs them not to. She says that she wants one chance to get off the pills on her own. And, in the least shocking surprise of the season, she can’t. As she sat on a bench at school, Emily asked her if she could help. Spencer said no.

Aria shows up to school totally crazy. She runs into a classroom and asks where “Ezra is” and the substitute teacher is super shocked. She says that Ezra has a family emergency. So Aria goes home.

After apologizing to Travis for kissing him, she finds out that his father is due in court. Because Hanna feels guilty, she goes to Holbrook and talks to him. She says that Travis’ dad is a good guy and Wilden was a bad cop. Holbrook says that it is his job to say the facts, not speculate.

Spencer goes to Toby’s with cronuts to apologize. She says that she’s done with pills. Toby half believes her.

At school, Emily runs into Paige. They’re talking about how they never see each other when Paige sees the money in Emily’s purse. She asks her about it and Emily lies. She says that it is a late birthday gift from her mother that doesn’t believe in banks.

Instead of going home, Aria goes to Ezra’s place. She wants to talk to him. When he isn’t home. She looks through his stuff and finds some of his things from his Ravenswood apartment. She is angry when she finds out that everything that she told him is going into his book. She even finds a recording of Ali’s voice from Ravenswood. Angry, Aria trashes Ezra’s apartment. Remember when she did that to her father’s office? After trashing it, she calmed down. She called the publisher and found out that Ezra is going to go ahead with the book.

At school, Spencer finds a bottle of pills in her locker. Emily tries to take them but Spencer refuses to let her. She said that she’d take care of it. When the girls realize that Aria is missing, Spencer figures out that she is probably at Ezra’s place. They find Aria on the ground with all of the stuff.

Hanna has developed into my favorite character. She is so sassy. She said that, if she were Aria, she would have burnt his house down. They all get Aria out of there. Spencer, however, collects Ezra’s Ali material off the ground.

Emily goes to the post office to drop off the money for Alison. When she’s in line, Paige walks in. She says that Emily lied to her about her grandma. Emily takes it outside because Paige is throwing a fit in the post office.

Paige gets on my nerves. I don’t like her and Emily together. Paige is demanding and pressures Emily too much. I was a fan of Samara and Emily being together. Because of my dislike for Paige, for the rest of the recap, I’m going to call her Mean-Paige.

Because Mean-Paige is giving Emily an ultimatum about taking the money to the police, Emily tells her that the money isn’t for A, it’s for Alison. I don’t think this is Mean-Paige caring for Emily. I this is Mean-Paige feeling left out. She calls Alison names. She says that Alison is manipulating Emily.

Emily says that Mean-Paige can’t tell anyone. Mean-Paige said she wouldn’t if Emily cuts off all ties. Emily says she will and said that if anything happens to Alison she’ll never forgive herself or Paige.

When Spencer is home, she finally caves and takes some of the pills that A left in her locker. She looks over the things that she found in Ezra’s place. She finds out that Ms. DiLaurentis paid Cece to protect Spencer because she saw the fight between Ali and Spencer.

Spencer had a flashback. She was following her and threatened Ali with a shovel. Because she was on pills she had completely blacked out the night. She realized that her father didn’t send a private investigator to follow Melissa. Her father believed that Spencer may have been the one to murder Alison.

Spencer, frantic and drugged, demanded her father tell her about it. Her father continued to change the subject. When Toby arrived, he took Spencer for a walk to get her away from her father.

However, Spencer got away from Toby and went to see Ms. DiLaurentis. She got into a fight with Ms. DiLaurentis and grabbed her arm really hard. Ms. DiLaurentis sent her home.
Aria went to the principal’s house to tell him about Ezra. Hanna tried to stop her. She tried everything and Aria finally agreed to stop after Hanna said that telling the principal would affect Aria’s family as well.
When Spencer got home, her family was waiting. It looks like Spencer is headed to rehab. Which is well needed.

Emily and Mean-Paige got into a fight. Emily said that she didn’t want to have an ultimatum. Mean-Paige just left. She then put a note into a cop card that Alison is alive. Great.

Aria decided to run away. Emily offered to go with her but Aria yelled at her. She wanted personal time. But I feel like they need to watch out for her, she might murder Ezra. That wouldn’t be very good.

Do you think Spencer tried to kill Alison?
