The pop star, Pink, will be joining the impressive list of musical guests who will be performing at the Oscars.
According to Deadline, Zadan and Meron said, “We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time. She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment on the broadcast.”
According to the Associated Press, Producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan could not confirm what Pink will be singing during the awards show.
Her most recent album is called The Truth About Love. It is her sixth album. Performers already confirmed for the Oscars include U2, Pharrell Williams, Bette Midler, and Karen O2. Pink was named Billboard Woman of the Year in 2013.
The 86th Annual Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre on March 2. The show will be televised live on ABC.
