Nokia unveils smartphones featuring Android

The cell phone company, Nokia, is making a splash at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The cell phone company is unveiling products that feature Android. The brand new devices are available in a variety of colors including green, red, yellow, and bright blue. Android technologies are providing new options for cell phone users. Cell phone users can open applications by using the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or use Google Mobile Services (GMS).

According to Zdnet, Head of Devices and Services at Nokia Stephen Elop said, "We will be taking advantage of the Android app and hardware ecosystems, but we have differentiated by adding our own services and user experience."

Nokia is continuing forward with ways to create quality products for consumers. Elop discussed the changing markets at the Mobile World Congress, including initiatives with Nokia. According to Reuters, Elop said that he hopes to introduce the “next billion” users to services provided by Nokia. He also told people at the trade fair that Nokia is continuing to work with Microsoft.
