NBC's The Michael J. Fox Show has been canceled after one season on the air.
The show, which stars Michael J. Fox in a comedy loosely based on his own life, has been yanked from NBC's Thursday night line-up after just 15 episodes, reports E! News . NBC will replace The Michael J. Fox Show with Hollywood Game Night hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch.
The half-hour sitcom was originally scheduled to air 22 episodes, notes Variety , and all 22 episodes have been filmed. It is unclear when, or if, NBC will air the remaining 7 episodes.
Though early reviews of the show were good, E! News reported that the show's final airing pulled in a paltry 2.2 million viewers and a 0.7 rating in the 18-49 age demographic.
The Michael J. Fox Show marked the return of Back to the Future star Michael J. Fox as a television regular after his long-term struggle with early onset Parkinson's disease.
