Jennifer Lawrence is having a stellar year. With a Golden Globe and now a BAFTA Award for American Hustle, fans and critics alike are recognizing the work of this talented actress.
Lawrence won a BAFTA at the 67th Annual British Academy Film Awards. Her film commitments keep her busy, and the actress couldn’t make it to London for the event. Her sentiments were read in a speech read by writer/ director David O. Russell, according to the Daily Mail. The actress wanted to explain how much she “enjoyed the opportunity to enact heartbreak, romance, rebirth, music and life.”
Her success as Rosalyn Rosenfeld in American Hustle led to praise from the Hollywood film community. Lawrence will be competing for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar this year. She also won a Golden Globe for Silver Linings Playbook in 2012. Previous work has included The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook, and The Devil You Know.
Lawrence didn’t attend the annual luncheon in support of the Academy Award nominees at the Beverly Hills Hotel. However, the movie star is scheduled to present an Oscar at the 86th Annual Academy Awards, according to E!. The ceremony will take place on March 2 at the Dolby Theatre.
