Walker’s last big film will be back up and running with Universal Studios on the first of the month. He died in an outrageous car accident and explosion at the age of 40 years old, leaving the remainder of the movie in question.
Originally, the film was supposed to commence filming after Thanksgiving, but Walker’s shocking and sudden death harshly affected everyone involved.
It was unsure for weeks if the movie would continue with production or if it would be shut down. Vin Diesel, co-star of the film, posted on his Facebook page that Fast 7 will be released on April 10, 2015.
“The franchise is still going to go. At this point, ‘Fast’ is like the United Nations. There are so many people in the movie that fans around the world can identify with, and Paul would want us to keep it going. I brought him with me today in spirit," actor Tyrese Gibson said according to The Epoch Times.
It’s rumored that Walker’s character will be “retired” as opposed to “killed off” in order to give the franchise a way to continue, as reported in The Hollywood Reporter.
James Wan will direct Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez, and Jordana Brewsterin the return of the April 2015 film.
