Canadian producer brings on Tara Woodbury, a new director of development to move projects forward in 2014.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Souther, co-president of Amaze Film along with Teza Lawrence said in a statement, “Tara has a strong record of finding and developing new talent and projects. Her keen understanding of the industry provides her with the perfect skill set to guide our diverse development slate into production.”
Woodbury will oversee Amaze Film’s development team. She served as a story editor on the film, The Colony, featuring Laurence Fishburne and Bill Paxton. The Colony is a movie about survivors who are forced underground by the next ice age. When the cold turns into a fatal epidemic, conflict is stirred among those trying to survive the harsh weather. The movie is directed by Jeff Renfroe, according to Variety. Laurence Fishburne plays Briggs, and Bill Paxton plays Mason.
Laurence Fishburne has been seen in the films Black Water Transit, Contagion, Man of Steel, and on the small screen in Thurgood. Bill Paxton has starred in Vertical Limit, Frailty, and Haven. He was seen on the small screen in Hatfields & McCoys.
