‘Team Oscar’ unveiled by Channing Tatum and 'Oscar' host Ellen DeGeneres

A contest open to U.S. college students competing to deliver Oscar statues to the presenters during the program, “Team Oscar” winners were announced on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Winners were chosen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, actor Channing Tatum, and Oscarcast producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, Variety reported. The six winners were from a wide range of colleges including Stanford, Rutgers University, and University of Michigan.

The contest was run through The Academy’s Facebook page, where the students had to submit a creative 60 second video. Tatum noted, “I was blown away by the quality of the videos the students created, and more importantly, by the visions they represented.”
The winning students not only get to be part of the upcoming ceremony but will also enjoy a week of industry experiences and perks including meet-and-greet with filmmakers, studio tours, and a trip to the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library to see its renowned collections.
