Vans releases footwear in honor of The Beatles

Shoe giant Vans has teamed up with The Beatles to release a line of footwear featuring the art from the movie Yellow Submarine.

According to Rolling Stone, Vans revealed the collection of four different pairs of shoes featuring artwork from the album and film, which will retail between $65 and $75. The Classic Slip-On shows an ocean scene, the Sk8-Hi Reissue depicts the Beatles running up the ankles, the Era shows the band in a garden, and the Authentic uses the phrase "all you need is love" in a colorful pattern. The collection will go on sale March 1.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four coming to America and performing on The Ed Sullivan Show, CBS is planning a special The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute To The Beatles which will air on February 9, exactly 50 years from their American debut. Performers for the special include John Mayer, Keith Urban, Alicia Keys and a reunited Eurythmics. The two surviving members Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney will also perform together. The pair are also set to play the Grammy’s on Sunday January 26 but there has been no confirmation on whether the two will play together.
