Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close tells the story of how Oskar Schell's life changed after the tragedy of September 11. After losing his dad in the attack, Oskar finds a key belonging to him. Traveling on a journey to find what this key opens, Oskar must meet new people and try to comfort his grieving mom in order to feel closure.
Bullock had a heart-wrenching performance in this film. Her heartbreak was believable. Though the film received mostly negative reviews from critics, it was nominated for an Academy Award, and Bullock's role was praised.
