Rihanna, 25, has that bad-girl vibe that everybody loves and too many hit singles to count. She started as this innocent 17-year-old girl and quickly became one of America’s most loved good girls gone bad. Her style and image are iconic and so is her voice, making her songs some of the most popular of our generation.
With the 56th annual Grammy awards right around the corner, airing this Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS, Rihanna is once again nominated. This year she’s up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song “Stay”, which features Mikky Ekko, and Best Urban Contemporary Album for her most recent album, Unapologetic. Rihanna has won six Grammy Awards in the past.
In 2013, Rihanna set a few Billboard records, making it quite a successful year for the daring singer. Rihanna’s song “Monster” featuring Eminem was her 13th single to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s hot 100 songs. She is now tied with Michael Jackson. Her hit “We Found Love” featuring Calvin Harris was her biggest No. 1 hit.
Her seventh album, Unapologetic, became No. 1 on Billboards Top 200 albums and sold 238,000 copies in its first week. Her other six albums all reached top 10 on this same chart, but this was the first to be No. 1. Until this album became No. 1, she held the record for having the most No. 1 songs on Billboards’ Hot 100 without having a No. 1 album.
Rihanna’s top 10 songs are a hard ten to pick with such success from her seven albums and the crazy amount of hit singles she has had, but here they are…
