10. Backseat Freestyle
Those not familiar with Kendrick may get the wrong idea about him from "Backseat Freestyle." Yes, it's a little more surface level than most of his songs, but it fits into the story of the album.
As the title suggests, it's intended to be Kendrick freestyling, talking big among friends. The song, the album's third single, is a portrait of Compton youth that works in the context of the album and as a standalone song, simply because of it's a great hook and beat.
