The Who’s Roger Daltrey hints at a new album

If Roger Daltrey is confident than we should be too. As the band celebrate their 50th anniversary, the iconic singer stated a new album is “inevitable.”

In an interview with NME the frontman stated, “Pete’s got hundreds of songs, so the only question is whether we get around to it, but he wants to make an album and I’m always ready and raring to go.”

Daltrey was speaking to NME about the line-up for this year’s Teenage Cancer Trust shows, curated by the singer, which will have Ed Sheeran, One Republic, and The Cure performing this year.

This is not the first time The Who have talked of a new album, as noted in Rolling Stone’s interview with the boastful frontman when he spoke about a large 2015 world tour and stated, “We intend to go on doing music until we drop.”

In a separate article, Rolling Stone noted while The Who have not made an album since 2006’s Endless Wire, Daltrey is about to release an album with another guitar player. Last year, the singer recorded an album with former Dr. Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson. The album Going Back Home is due out in March.
