Shakira and Rihanna release smokin’ video for ‘Can’t Remember to Forget You’

The duo that is Shakira and Rihanna are a match made in international heaven, and their new video for the single “Can’t Remember to Forget You” is not one to be missed.

The video begins with Shakira dancing and singing around on a bed at a bottom of a stairwell, dressed in a white mesh dress, then flashes over to the sultry Columbian on a black and white striped bed, in only a black body suit and heels. After you’ve picked yourself off the floor, the scenes flash between the two, and add a topless Shakira (hold on, she’s covered by her hair) in a pool and in a red dress. If that weren’t enough, then Rihanna joins in, silhouetted, walking down a hallway in a frilly black bodysuit. The scenes go back and forth between the two, and the two smoking cigars on the striped bed.

The song itself is a good mix of the two singer’s styles and approaches to the song. The reggae inspired feel with the mix of rock song toward the end gives the song a unique sound, a sound that please fans of both vocalists. At the end of the video, Shakira even rocks out in a pool with electric guitars and drums.

“Can’t Remember to Forget You” is the first single off of Shakira’s upcoming self-titled album, her first with Universal label RCA, is set for release on March 25.
