Nick Cannon appeared on the MTV2 television series, Charlamagne and Friends with some great news for Drumline fans on Jan.29.
In 2002, Nick Cannon starred in Drumline as Harlem musician, Devon. Wednesday, Cannon announced to Charlamagne Tha God on an episode of Charlamagne and Friends that there will be a sequel to the film and that “Drumline 2” is in the works.
“I can announce it now,” Cannon spilled. “It’s officially happening.”
While everyone still showed their excitement for Cannon, C Tha God asked if Cannon was going to be starring in it. He joked, telling Cannon that he may not be able to pass as a college student anymore. It’s been 12 years since the original Drumline.
“I’m not in it,” Cannon said. “I’m just producing it, so. I might make a cameo.”
Cannon further explained that his main goal is to have a Drumline television show. It’s his hopes that this movie sequel will be able to help him transition the Drumline and college culture onto the television screen.
