Lance Bass forgives 'The Bachelor' Juan Pablo Gelavis

Lance Bass harbors no hate for ABC’s “The Bachelor” Juan Pablo Galavis.

Galavis had made some anti-gay remarks. He had said that he wouldn’t support having a gay or bi-sexual bachelor.

“I don’t think it’s a good example for kids to watch that on TV,” Galavis had told TV Page.

Galavis later apologized for the remarks, and there are individuals who’ve seen past the incident, including openly-gay Lance Bass.

“I don’t hate him at all,” Bass said. “I still think he’s cute.”

Bass understood that Galavis’ view came from the culture in which he was raised in. Galavis was raised in Venezuela.

“When you grow up in a place like that, you get brainwashed into thinking that way, you know, you can’t help what you grow up with,” Bass said. “I mean, I grew up in Mississippi, so I know how people can get brainwashed into thinking really, really awful things. So hopefully, he will learn from this and get educated.”

According to ABC News, this is Bass’ first season watching The Bachelor. He began watching the season because of Galavis. However, Bass is committed to fiancé Michael Turchin.
