Investigation proves popular Animal Planet show abuses animals

For a network that one would think would be nothing but supportive and caring towards animals, an investigation has just been released which proved to show that one of Animal Planet’s top rated reality show, Call of the Wildman, abuses and tortures the animals featured on the show.
Motherjones led a full investigation which proved that in mostly all instances, in the show's “guided reality” aspect, all of the wildlife featured on the show had been handled in illegal ways that compromised their well being by trapping and placing them in specific situations before filming begins.
In one horrible instance, a trio of baby raccoons were taken away too early from their mother in order to create a dramatic scene in the show, that resulted in the cubs needing hospitalization and incubation; one eventually died.
Gawker also reported on the incident and stated that when accused of the wrong doings, Animal Planet brought in a crisis manager to deal with the allegations and he decided to keep airing and re-running the episodes that were proved to be abusive to animals during filming.
