'General Hospital' weekly recap: Week of 12/30/13-1/4/14

At GH, Silas caught the elevator as he left Ava a message about the calls he’d been getting from the NYPD cop. He told her that they needed to meet and solve this problem. He hung up muttering that he wouldn't lose Sam over this problem.

In the exam room, Britt stopped the ultrasound and apologized to Dante and Lulu and told that she wouldn't be able to create new embryos. They were confused and wanted more options. Britt replied that she would try but didn't think the outcome would be any different.

Sam and Nikolas found themselves waiting for their respective dates at The Metro Court so they sat together in the meantime. She made a toast to Dante and Lulu in hopes that their procedure went well. Nikolas replied that he was certain Britt would be able to give them a baby. They were about to discuss their current relationships when Silas arrived. Nikolas then allowed Silas to whisk Sam away but warned him that the Cassadines take care of their own and he should be good to his cousin. When Britt arrived, she couldn't tell Nikolas that it went well with Dante and Lulu. After dinner, Silas and Sam toyed with ideas of what they could do. He finally suggested getting a room. She replied that she would like that. Upstairs, they enjoyed champagne before kissing. Then, he asked if she was sure and she responded that she was. They then make love, taking a break during the fireworks when Sam hoped the New Year would be less exciting for them. Later on the terrace, Nikolas wanted to start the New Year by telling Britt how much she meant to him so he kissed her passionately during the fireworks.

At Maxie's, Nathan West introduced himself and explained that the agency sent him to sublet her apartment. She gave him a tour and confused him when she offered her room. He wondered if her roommate moved out suddenly and asked what happened. She confessed that her roommate moved to Portland with the love of her life and her daughter. He surprised her when he handed her a handkerchief. He replied that his mother warned how one never knew when they'd find a damsel in distress. He understood her need for a spiritual journey and admitted that he hadn't had the best year himself. She thought this would be a wonderful opportunity for him to turn things around. Then, he told her that he didn't know anyone in Port Charles and thought they could pick up the pieces together. She replied that his offer was nice but that she couldn't stay and had to leave before the stroke of midnight. He wished her good luck when she left and smiled at a picture of her that he found. Later, Nathan left Silas a message that he wasn’t going away.

Robin was silent at home as Emma promised them that she wouldn’t fall asleep like she did last New Year's Eve with Sabrina. Patrick explained they were having a special evening renewing their wedding vows. Emma wondered who would marry them. Then, Patrick and Robin realized that they didn't need anyone official and they could have anyone do it. Emma then said that she wanted to do the honors in front of her stuffed animal witnesses. Both Robin and Patrick repeated the vows from their wedding day. Emma stopped Patrick's premature kiss and gave them their rings. After they put them on Emma announced, "Now you can kiss the bride." Later, Patrick and Robin shared champagne as the New Year began. Meanwhile, Emma was asleep on the couch.

At their apartment, Sabrina hoped the pregnancy test she just took would be negative, but Felix announced it was positive. She replied that she knew it was Patrick's. She then freaked out in Spanish and wondered what she would do. Felix asked her to chill out and explained that she would have to catch her breath and tell Patrick. She shot back that was the last thing she intended to do since she'd be no better than Britt. Felix didn't see the comparison but Sabrina still didn't want to be that person. Felix then said that if she wasn’t going to do the right thing, he would and started dialing Patrick’s number. Sabrina grabbed the phone from him and threatened to never speak to him again if he told. He replied that he heard her and agreed it was best she figured out things first. They then brought in the New Year together in silence.

At their apartment, Lulu couldn't believe their dream of having a child of their own was over. Dante argued that they could get a donor but Lulu replied that she didn't want to have a baby anymore because she thought the universe was telling them that they needed to stop. He invited her to the roof to watch the fireworks but she started packing. He argued that he loved Connie too and asked her if she blamed him for what happened in court. She admitted that she didn't want to but she couldn't help but blame him because, “you didn't have my back when it mattered the most.” Lulu then said that she couldn’t be with him. He asked her to stay as the fireworks were going off but she wouldn't. They both said, "I love you," and she left.

Ava announced, "I come in peace," when Julian opened his hotel room door, with gun in hand. He told her he was mad she hadn't kept Morgan close since he was a kid and posed a problem and they could end up in jail. Ava blamed Julian for getting him involved in the shootout with Sonny and asked if he was threatening to kill Morgan. Julian replied that he was worried that too many people were at the warehouse, including TJ. Ava reminded him that TJ was his daughter's sister's boyfriend and warned him that he shouldn't start bumping off children. He asked her to go, and then called someone to tail both Morgan and TJ.

At The Metro Court, Silas and Sam each tried to see if the other had regrets during their afterglow. Silas said that his only regret was that they didn't get there sooner. Sam then got up to shower and Silas read a text on his phone, "You can run but you can't hide." After, Ava saw Sam kissing Silas goodbye. Silas then dragged her into his room after Sam left and exclaimed, "That cop isn't going away." She confided that he tried to reach her too and that she was still weighing her options. Silas shot back that he was sick of waiting. Ava suggested directing the cop to Diane. He replied that he didn't trust her or Diane but Ava thought he shouldn't be eager to get Alexis involved since it might ruin things for him and Sam.

At Maxie's apartment, Nathan reviewed a file on Silas from the NYPD and decided he'd have to get creative since Silas kept avoiding him. He then grabbed his badge and gun and left.

Anna complained about the headlines about the warehouse shooting to Duke in her office. She told him that she knew Sonny was lying about accidentally shooting Max, that Julian had to have been involved in the shootout but wondered why Sonny was protecting him. Duke thought she should recuse herself to avoid drudging up the past. They were then interrupted when Nathan arrived. Once they were alone, Anna confirmed she had his request for a transfer and questioned his motives. Nathan replied that he went where the action was and knew about the Jeromes going against Corinthos, but Anna didn't buy it. He then handed over the NYPD file on Silas and admitted he was there because of Ava and her old friend Silas Clay. Anna reviewed the case file and wasn't certain she wanted an opened case brought to Port Charles despite her interest in taking down Ava. She still questioned why Silas’ case was so important to him but granted his transfer request.

Sonny took Morgan to an exam room when he found him at GH asking for an update on Max’s condition. He exclaimed, "You want an update on Max? You almost killed him." Morgan replied that only wanted to save Carlos from Sonny. Sonny refused to apologize for protecting his family. Morgan then claimed that he made his own decisions so Sonny gave him a gun and told him to be a man and shoot him to get rid of the father he hated so much. Morgan yelled for him to stop and gave him the gun back. Sonny then told Morgan that it was time to walk away from the Jeromes before someone else got hurt. Meanwhile, Nathan introduced himself to Silas at the nurses' station.

At Kelly's, Shawn argued with TJ in the kitchen saying that he shouldn't have been at the warehouse. TJ replied that he only wanted to protect him but Shawn warned him that Julian would take him out if he thought TJ would go to the police and that it could be dangerous for Molly too. Then, TJ left. Duke arrived and asked Shawn if everything was alright. Outside, Rafe Jr. was certain Molly felt something for him but Molly told him that she’d already talked things over with TJ, that she only wanted to be with him and if Rafe Jr. couldn't accept that then they couldn't be friends. Rafe Jr. then replied that he thought TJ was bad for her but he'd accept it so they could still be friends. Later, Rafe Jr. was watching nearby when TJ found Molly alone and explained that if the Jeromes found out he went to the police, he was as good as dead. Rafe Jr. listened in as Molly agreed that the truth shouldn't come out. Sam then came to get Danny and confirmed that she had a great night and asked if their troubles were over. TJ replied that they were in the clear. Then, Sonny walked by and joined Duke inside. Across the counter, Duke explained Anna's concerns to Sonny, who realizes Dante hadn't reported his suspicions. He thought Morgan would ditch the Jeromes and it would be a moot point. Then, in the kitchen, Sonny reminded Shawn that TJ couldn't talk. Shawn replied that he was certain no one was going to hear about the warehouse shooting from TJ.

Morgan went to Julian's hotel room to talk about the warehouse shooting and said, "I want out.”

Anna was interrupted by a visit from Rafe at the PCPD. He was hesitant but pointed at the newspaper headline about the warehouse shooting and said that he knew what happened there.
