Black Sabbath teams up with Converse for new shoe line

For a second time, Black Sabbath team up with Converse and unveil a new line of Chuck Taylor’s featuring album art from the iconic band.

Rolling Stone noted the Chuck Taylor All Star shoes will have cover art from Black Sabbath’s self-titled debut, Paranoid, Vol. 4 and Never Say Die, the last album featuring the original line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward.

Black Sabbath Converse

In 2008 Black Sabbath licensed their name to Converse that included cover art from their greatest hits album We Sold Our Souls For Rock ‘N’ Roll, a picture of Osbourne from Vol. 4, and a Converse 100th Anniversary Edition of Black Sabbath’s 1978 World Tour.

Osbourne, Butler and Iommi recorded and released their first Black Sabbath album together in 35 years. The album 13 was the band’s first Number 1 album in the United States and they toured extensively around the world in 2013. The Godfathers of Heavy Metal are also up for three Grammy’s for Best Rock Album, and the album’s single “God is Dead?” is up for Best Rock Song, and Best Metal Performance. Sabbath has won just one Grammy before, for Best Metal Performance in 1999 for their live performance of “Iron Man” from their concert album Reunion.
