After rumors and speculation, Beyoncé is confirmed that she and husband Jay Z will be performing at the Grammy’s this weekend, but there is no confirmation on whether it will be together or separately.
According to Billboard the appearance was confirmed in a commercial that aired on CBS on Sunday, January 19. Although Jay Z raps in with wife on her song “Drunk In Love”, he is up for nine nominations of his own, including best rap album for Magna Carte…Holy Grail. Also taking the stage this year will be Taylor Swift, Lorde, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, Katy Perry among others.
The Los Angeles Times speculated that Beyoncé and Madonna are set to make “surprise” appearances at this year’s music awards show. The story also points to a recent interview with GRAMMY producer Ken Ehrlich, who does not confirm or deny the pop divas' participation in the upcoming event.
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and air on CBS at 8pm/7pm Central Time.
