The soundtrack to Disney’s Frozen returns to the top of the Billboard charts knocking Bruce Springsteen out of the No. 1 position.
According to Billboard the lovable and Oscar nominated movie soundtrack is the first soundtrack since 2007 to spend at least three weeks on top of the charts, a feat that was last done by another Disney production, High School Musical 2. Frozen is the first film soundtrack since 2003’s Bad Boys II to spend three or more non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 as well. The No. 2 slot this week was filled by the Grammy compilation “2014 Grammy Nominees” which feature hits from Lorde, Kacey Musgraves and Daft Punk.
The Huffington Post reported the Oscar nominated film is not only up for Best Animated Film but also for Best Song for “Let It Go.” With that in mind, the Disney movie is getting a makeover of sorts this weekend as the film will feature a special sing-a-long version at select screenings, with words scrolling at the bottom of the screen during the musical numbers. A video of the sing a long for the Oscar nominated song was released and featured on the The Huffington Post as well.
