The Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker died in a horrible car crash and explosion in Santa Clarita, California Saturday afternoon.
According to People, a statement about the accident was released by police, reading, "When they arrived, deputies found the vehicle engulfed in flames. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire and subsequently located two victims inside the vehicle. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene."
"This is an ongoing investigation," said Deputy Heischuber of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station. "A solo car crash occurred about 3:30 p.m. in the city of Santa Clarita, on the outskirts of Valencia. A 911 call came in from a bystander."
The actor was attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide with a friend who was driving. Both men died in the terrible car accident, which authorities believe was brought on by speed.
