San Francisco Bay Area contractor and co-host of HGTV’s Curb Appeal Bill Beckwith was killed in a motorcycle accident Monday night.
According to the Variety Beckwith died while he was riding his motorcycle through San Francisco. Originally from Maine, Beckwith’s company BB Design Build offered residential and commercial construction services around the Bay Area.
The San Jose Mercury News reported Beckwith was hit by another vehicle. Beckwith was rushed to San Francisco General Hospital but died after arrival. While the San Francisco Police have not disclosed any details, a 30-year-old driver of the other vehicle is cooperating on the investigation.
Beckwith’s girlfriend, Yulia Korneeva wrote on a Facebook page created in his memory, "My love: so kind, so bright, adventurous and strong. You are loved by so many good people! I wish you could stay with us for way longer."
Beckwith co-hosted the HGTV home renovation program for two years. Curb Appeal chronicled the overhaul of a home's exterior. HGTV network representatives have not commented yet. Beckwith was 38 years old.
