One of the longest running tour festivals, the Van’s Warped Tour, which provides launching pads for indie and punk bands, released tour dates for their 2014 schedule with the tour nearly two decades old. Founder and creator Kevin Lyman, whose company 4FINI also produces the annual Taste of Chaos tour and Mayhem Festival, will be announcing bands every week on Fuse TV’s Warped Roadies show.
The announcement went live on the Warped Tour’s website along with a countdown ticking away the days, hours, minutes, and even seconds, until the tour is underway. Much like 2013, the tour is due to kick off on June 14 in Salt Lake City, UT. The tour will wind its way through North America concluding on August 3 in Houston, Texas.
Fuse TV followed up the announcement with news of their show Warped Roadies premiering December 4, and every week Kevin Lyman himself will announce a handful of bands appearing on the upcoming tour.
Warped Roadies whose tag line is “the real show happens off stage” follows the dedicated and hard-working crew members and roadies who travel from city to city to make the tour the success it is.
The Van’s Warped Tour has been a launching pad for artists such as Sublime, Blink-182, Sum 41, Paramore and even Katy Perry.
