Lady Gaga set to close the historic Roseland Ballroom in April

Lady Gaga has been set to perform the last set of shows at New York’s Roseland Ballroom, which closes after nearly 100 years.

According to Billboard Lady Gaga announced she will be closing the club with 4 nights of shows running March 28, 29, 30, and April 2. Since Roseland is such a relatively small venue, for a name like Gaga, a lottery will be held for her community of followers LittleMonsters.com where lucky members will be able to get in on the November 21 pre-sale. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday November 25.

The Roseland Ballroom was initially founded in 1917 by Louis Brecker in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then moved to 1658 Broadway at 51st Street in New York City in 1919. Marketed as a “home of refined dancing” that soon changed with the uprising and popularity of jazz, and soon hosted acts like Count Basie, Louis Armstong, and band leaders such as Glenn Miller. The original location was torn down in 1956. Where it stands today, about a block away, first opened at its current 52nd Street location in 1958 as a converted skating rink.

You can get tickets on November 25 via Ticketmaster. Floor tickets will sell for $50, with mezzanine seats at $200. Each guest will receive a special commemorative ticket upon entry.
