Miles and the sheriff are being held in cattle stalls in the war clan’s camp. The sheriff is killed after a member of the war clan takes a blood sample from all the captives. Willoughby is under heightened security and preparing for the war clan to raid their town again. Aaron is struggling with his miraculous survival, as people try to convince him that it was God’s providence. He knows that the nano-bots brought him back to life, but he doesn’t know why. Rachel and her father decide to make an attempt at rescuing Miles.
Bounty hunters capture Monroe and Charlie, before Charlie is able to assassinate Monroe. The bounty hunters are working for the United States government. When Monroe makes an attempt to escape, he kills one of the bounty hunters, just as Charlie had predicted when she warned that they should have killed Monroe before he had a chance to try anything.
The rebels from last season of the show were representing the United States as it was, but now the Patriots represent the current United States government’s efforts. Neville plans an assassination of the US government official, then shoots the assassin in front of the government official to prove that he is loyal to the United States.
At the war clan’s camp, Miles is able to escape from his handcuffs, but is recaptured when he tries to help another captive escape with him. Titus Andover, the cult leader of the group, maims Miles to prevent him from using his swordsmanship to make another effort at escape. Titus seals a letter with the symbol of the all-seeing eye, commonly affiliated with the United States government. At the end of the episode, Miles is dragged into a room with a female patient and all the equipment for a severe bloodletting.
